How to Recognize and Avoid Copyright Infringement

The amount of available content on the Internet and the technological ease of copying and pasting make it easier than ever to inadvertently run afoul of the US copyright laws. Individuals and businesses using social media for advertising purposes should be armed with basic knowledge of copyright law to ensure that their use of seemingly free and available images, phrases, and other material does not place them at risk of infringing upon the copyrights of others. This session will provide you with that basic knowledge as well as dispel common misconceptions about the use of copyrighted material.
